Process Operator - Formulator
About The Position
AOC’s Resin Manufacturing Plant in Lakeland, Florida is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Production Operator (Formulator). This hands-on role involves operating formulating equipment, adhering to production schedules and safety procedures, and communicating safety or equipment concerns. The operator produces resin products according to production procedures and quality specifications, transfers and labels finished products, and completes production documentation. The position requires working 12-hour rotating shifts in a manufacturing environment and may require overtime to support plant operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant work experience or previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Forklift certification.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and apply training on the job.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills for production documentation.
- Reliability, punctuality, motivation to learn, and willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to work as a team player and treat others respectfully and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Complete required training and follow company, job, safety, quality, and compliance procedures, including ISO, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and SDS requirements.
- Operate and monitor formulating equipment and follow batch and production procedures to safely produce resin products according to production schedules and quality specifications.
- Transfer formulated products into drums, label finished products, and complete required production documentation.
- Monitor equipment and processes and promptly report safety hazards, mechanical issues, or other concerns to leadership.
- Safely operate in-house forklifts, jockey, and/or semi-trailer equipment as needed.
- Participate in team, safety, training, benefits, and other required meetings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
