About The Position

As a Production Operator you will be under moderate supervision, perform setup and operation of production equipment to insert, and mail statements, letters, checks, and cards within specified timelines. Follows quality service standards, safety expectations, and complies with all company policies and procedures. The work environment is primarily an indoor warehouse or manufacturing facility. Frequent exposure to moving equipment and mechanical components is required, and noise levels can be significant.

Responsibilities

Performs all basic production equipment operation, ensures a steady workflow, achieves and maintains production standards as required by the department, including performing minor equipment adjustments.
Conduct quality control inspections on mail pieces while actively navigating the production floor, unloading materials, and maintaining the physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and walk up to at least 10,000 steps daily
Ensures quality checks are performed before, during, and upon completion of production runs with emphasis on final customer product and meeting department standards.
Troubleshoots basic and intermediate program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
Completes operator/job logs and other documentation to track job completion and produces reports/documentation to validate damaged pieces during production runs.
Maintains appropriate supply inventory based on established procedures and requirements.
Manually prepares documents for mailing.
May provide training support for new employees (after proficient) , may provide answers to workflow questions (after proficient).
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Ability to operate motorized production equipment such as but not limited to manufacturing machines, packaging machines, pallet jack, and other non-motorized production machinery.
