About The Position

The employee will be responsible for visually inspecting cast ring for conformance to job order and quality standards. This role involves detailed inspection of cast rings to ensure they meet specific job order requirements and quality benchmarks. The operator will also maintain records of ring tallies and any issues encountered, providing feedback for mold inspection and pattern identification.

Requirements

• Ability to read a limited number of two or three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to speak and write simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must have working knowledge of QC inspection operation.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect cast rings against job order for correct date, degree, name, school spellout, shank detail, trademark and monogram.
• Inspect for quality of metal fillout.
• Maintains ring tally and notes of Issues and feed back to wax for inspection of molds keeping and identification codes regarding disposition of each wax pattern reject.
• Operate AS400 and movement of orders.
