About The Position

The Production Operator 1 contributes to the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and performs various tasks involved in the manufacturing process of industrial and medical gases. Operate and monitor production equipment, including filling stations, compressors, pumps, and other machinery, supporting alignment with safety protocols and operating procedures. Perform routine quality control checks on products, including cylinder inspections, pressure verification, and leak detection. Load and unload cylinders and other materials using appropriate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Prepare cylinders for filling by visually inspecting, cleaning, and labeling them according to product specifications. Complete and maintain accurate production logs, inventory records, and other required documentation. Ideally, you bring a strong commitment to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment. Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area. Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues to supervisors. Collaborate with team members to advance production goals and maintain efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and become certified.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Prior experience with industrial gas production or cylinder handling.
  • Prior forklift experience.
