This position reports to: Manufacturing Unit Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective production results. Each day, you will be responsible to meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level) across multiple shifts and production lines. You will also showcase your expertise by developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite This role is contributing to our NAM Electrification Distribution Solutions Operation in Pinetops, North Carolina. You will be mainly accountable for: Lead and manage day-to-day production operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to optimize labor, equipment, and materials Monitor production performance, analyze KPIs, and implement corrective actions as needed Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Develop, coach, and manage supervisors and production staff, fostering a high-performance culture Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as Manager of Production Operations involving multiple work shifts and production lines.
  • Strong people management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, and operational metrics.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and quality management systems.
  • Proven ability to drive performance improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day production operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
