About The Position

You will be the Production Operations Lead for the Precision Fires team. Our team is responsible for driving production operations strategies and ensuring successful missile production across multiple Lockheed Martin facilities. As the Production Operations Lead you will be responsible for integrating production operations strategies, developing transition plans, and executing PrSM missile production across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • A broad base of knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, mechanical production, and assembly operations with general manufacturing processes
  • A broad base of knowledge of setting up new production line / facility
  • Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence as the position requires cross functional interactions on a daily basis
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.

  • Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling.
  • Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) Certification or cost analysis experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including to non-technical personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the SAP MRP production control system
  • Ability to travel domestic and/or international
  • Experience managing, contributing to, and executing proposals and/or affordability initiatives
  • Experience with development programs and Transition to Production efforts
  • A clear understanding of the production processes employed within Lockheed Martin
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
  • Current Active Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Identify risks and opportunities early in process development and build strategies to maximize throughput and manufacturability.
  • Develop site capacity plans and multi‑site execution strategies from proposal through contract closeout.
  • Create proposal estimates, tooling plans, and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to support production efforts.
  • Collaborate with Cost Account Manager and engineering to drive cost‑reduction and manufacturability improvements.
  • Lead coordination of first‑article inspections (FAI) and production line validation activities.
