About The Position

The Operations Lead plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operational success by guiding teammates, coordinating workflow and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and with a focus on quality. This role helps translate daily operational plans into action by organizing work, removing barriers and supporting teammates across production, blending, packaging or warehouse environments. The Operations Lead partners closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations while reinforcing a culture grounded in Our Values. Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, maintaining a safety-first mindset and driving continuous improvement. The Operations Lead also serves as a mentor and resource for teammates, helping develop skills, share knowledge and foster a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse or distribution operations
  • Experience coordinating daily work activities or providing informal leadership within an operational team
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within required timeframe depending on site operations
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows within manufacturing, production or warehouse environments
  • Ability to lead and influence teammates through clear communication and collaboration
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational needs
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and operational systems such as ERP or inventory systems
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety documents and operational procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a lead, group lead or shift lead role within operations
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards
  • Knowledge of Lean, 5S or continuous improvement practices
  • Experience training or mentoring teammates in operational environments
  • Experience working in chemical manufacturing, blending, packaging or regulated warehouse environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operational activities within assigned production, blending, packaging or warehouse areas
  • Coordinate workflow, staffing and resources to meet operational and customer demand
  • Provide day-to-day coaching, guidance and support to teammates while fostering a positive team environment
  • Monitor safety practices and ensure all work is completed in compliance with EHSS requirements and company policies
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, addressing risks and encouraging teammates to speak up
  • Support quality standards by ensuring procedures, work instructions and specifications are followed
  • Assist with troubleshooting operational challenges including equipment issues, workflow disruptions or material shortages
  • Communicate operational priorities, updates and performance metrics with teammates and leadership
  • Partner with supervisors to support onboarding, training and development of new teammates
  • Track and report operational performance metrics such as productivity, quality and efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and team effectiveness
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in operational improvement projects
  • Maintain organized, clean and audit-ready work environments in accordance with safety and operational standards
  • Assist with inventory coordination, material flow or order fulfillment depending on operational area
  • Step in to support operational tasks or production work when needed to maintain workflow
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality, logistics and planning to resolve issues and improve operations
