About The Position

The Production Operator ensures machinery is set up and working properly, conforming to company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. This role involves setting up and operating tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts, studying work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed. The operator will select, place, and secure tools, as well as place and secure workpieces in the machine using clamps and wrenches. Preparing fixtures and feeding devices, starting the machine, and engaging the feed are also key duties. The operator will observe each machine to verify quality performance and set and adjust necessary controls to regulate machines. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow written instructions, and diagrams.
Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
Thorough understanding of production work.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Computer skills (Excel is highly preferred)

Nice To Haves

At least one year experience as machine operator, is preferred

Responsibilities

Performs other related duties as assigned.
