About The Position

SMF is hiring a Production MIG Welder to join its metal fabrication team in Minonk, Illinois. SMF, part of Etnyre International, manufactures high-quality metal products for industries including construction, power generation, agriculture, and mining, and serves Fortune 500 original equipment manufacturers. The role involves MIG welding metal components and contributing to high-quality production in a manufacturing environment.

Pay is listed as $20.00–$30.00 per hour. The posting also gives starting rates by production welder classification, based on experience and pre-employment test results: Production Welder A at $27.25 per hour, B at $25.25 per hour, and C at $21.75 per hour. A $2.50-per-hour shift premium is offered for second shift.

Requirements

• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on metal components.
