About The Position

A Production Metal Worker in a warehouse sets up, operates, and maintains machinery to cut, shape, and form metal parts. They interpret blueprints, assemble components, inspect finished products for quality, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Key skills include mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the physical stamina to lift materials and stand for long periods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lift heavy metal pieces and stand for long periods.
  • Standing for long periods, bending, and lifting heavy materials.
  • Repetitive tasks require manual dexterity.
  • Working in a factory or warehouse environment

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machinery such as metal shears, plasma cutters, press brakes, bandsaws, and drill presses.
  • Cut, bend, fasten, and assemble metal parts according to blueprints, technical drawings, or work orders.
  • Inspect finished workpieces for accuracy, checking dimensions against specifications using measuring tools.
  • Load and unload raw metal materials into machinery manually or with handling equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines (PPE), perform basic machine checks, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Document production output in a database or on tracking sheets.
