About The Position
The Production Mechanic position is responsible for supervised maintenance and support of current manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma required
- 3 years related experience in manufacturing support
- Familiarity with machine shop and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electro mechanical and fluidic systems, including test fixture design and manufacture desirable
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment: Identify and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment and perform repairs to get equipment back online in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform PM on equipment; Maintain the Preventative Maintenance Database
- Perform mold maintenance: Remove and install molds, hook up and set up equipment, and clean molds as necessary.
- Provide backup operation of Extruder, Injection Mold, and Blow Mold equipment to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with engineers: Work with manufacturing engineers to optimize production operations, implement new methods, and commission new equipment.
- Ensure safe shutdown of equipment during failures, work to restore operations, and prepare equipment for efficient startup at the next shift change.
