Requirements

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to safely work with ingredients and products that are derived from possibly allergenic sources including, but not limited to, nuts, soy, dairy, fish, and shellfish.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in the units of measurement used in the Inventory Warehouse Department, using whole numbers and decimals (for example, grams).
  • Must be able to sufficiently concentrate to distinguish between 300+ product codes and individual product lot numbers in order to minimize inventory errors.
  • Receives and verifies packaging materials received to ensure they are correct and in usable condition.
  • Utilizes equipment (forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, etc.) in production area and ensures safety is not compromised.

Responsibilities

  • Knows and follows the Inventory Warehouse Department policies when it comes to receiving and returning materials procedures and Thorne Research policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Completes paperwork accurately, neatly and fully.
  • Assists with preforming daily inventory counts and maintains integrity of accountable supplies, ensuring quality is not compromised.
  • Operates a wide variety of industrial warehouse equipment in order to store, rotate, or issue supplies on a daily basis.
  • Issues the correct amount of designated components, inspecting and labeling items as needed, and placing them in designated areas.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organizational structure of the Manufacturing area, using standard industrial practices (First In/First Out, labels facing out, items stored six inches off the floor, etc.).
  • Responsible for the flow of receiving, staging, and returning, production materials, while adhering to OSHA and localized safety standards.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail in all aspects of providing materials for production orders, and the accurate completion of production paperwork.
  • Completes projects and responsibilities to a satisfactory end without supervision.
  • Observes the daily flow of the production department and coordinates with production leadership to determine which job duty has priority.
