About The Position

Bama is an innovator of wholesome bakery products and caters to the needs of the largest and most well-known restaurant chains on the planet. Our company's core product lines are hand-held pies, biscuits, buns, pie shells, and pizza crust. We are seeking Production Manufacturing Team Members to join our team at Bama Frozen Dough. This role is crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality, safe products while minimizing waste and meeting customer expectations. Team members will participate in daily meetings and engage in various production activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid food handler's card through Tulsa Health Department (fee covered by Bama when hired)
Meet the physical requirements of the position
Understand manufacturing guidelines for food safety and sanitation.
Experience with set-up and operation of packaging machinery.
Demonstrated problem solving ability.
Must have proven safety record in past work history
Must possess ability to operate designated machinery and function in assigned position.
Must possess ability and aptitude to identify, correct and improve potential safety items; both human and food.
Must actively participate in plant safety initiatives with the responsibility to for self and others.
Must submit to all assessments and testing, including math/reading test and EQ assessment testing. Also display aptitude for positions based on aptitude testing and assessments.
Must display effective EQ attributes such as communication skills and listening skills.

Responsibilities

Understand, engage, and participate in the production activities in their area or position.
Make a high quality, safe product.
Minimize scrap and meet customer expectations.
Ensure a safe work environment and practices.
Set up, monitor, and adjust automated machinery to compliance.
Measure, weigh, and record raw product data and transfer data to the SPC sheet to ensure product consistency.
Perform routine equipment repairs and assist maintenance with in-depth repairs/modifications.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out and processed correctly for the area of responsibility.
Participate in teams and make ongoing process improvements.
Understand the manufacturing process and drive continuous improvement.
Fully engage in the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program and maintain/understand all equipment in the area of responsibility.
Troubleshoot failures and identify corrective actions.
Participate in other plant initiatives (i.e., safety programs, quality, productivity).
Operate designated machinery and function in the assigned position.
Identify, correct, and improve potential safety items (human and food).
Actively participate in plant safety initiatives with responsibility for self and others.
Submit to all assessments and testing, including math/reading test and EQ assessment testing.
Display aptitude for positions based on aptitude testing and assessments.
Display effective EQ attributes such as communication skills and listening skills.
Operate cutting-edge automated equipment to produce products like Handheld Pies, Biscuits, Dough, Hotcakes, and Graham Shells.
