About The Position

Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures within the Entertainment Department. Responsibilities include protection of Company assets within the Entertainment Department and management of property technical staff. Responsibilities also include ensuring all concert and live entertainment events are properly planned and executed, and supervising the operation and maintenance of all live sound and lighting systems throughout the property venues. Manage all physical aspects of entertainment venues, making sure they continually meet Station Casinos’ standards. Review all artist technical riders to assess the feasibility of complying with the requirements. Assure that all such requirements are either met, negotiated or waived. Execute all approved concerts and live shows, including budgeting, staffing, logistics, scheduling, and monitoring service levels to ensure that all concerts and live entertainment events are successful. Establish contact with the artist’s Road/Production Manager to coordinate load-in times, sound checks, crew call and back line requirements. Assist in the development of design and production specifications for all concerts and live entertainment events to ensure that a production schedule is maintained. Ensure that artist dressing rooms are properly prepared and maintained. Order and monitor stock of equipment for all concerts and live entertainment presentations. Prepare and present monthly profit and loss statement.

Requirements

  • Supervisory and leadership experience
  • Must possess a technical degree or related professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A knowledge and understanding of stage directions, scripts, cues and cue calling and of the standard operating procedures manuals
  • A thorough understanding of OSHA codes pertaining to theater and electrical safety
  • An understanding of technical set-up documentation such as stage plots, light plots, audio plots, patch sheets, cheat sheets, etc.
  • An understanding of equipment preparation documentation such as gel cut lists, cable bundle lists, etc.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum six (6) years of previous concert or live entertainment experience may be substituted for college degree or similar job requirement experience.
