About The Position

This Production Manager is responsible leading manufacturing activities, including metal forming, press operations to ensure products are made safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role manages production plan execution, personnel management, and equipment maintenance to meet customer on-time delivery (OTD) goals while maximizing profitability. Will require flexibility to be available on off-shifts as required.

Requirements

Strong understanding of metal forming processes (stamping, drawing, flanging, bending) and interpretation of blueprints/BOMs.
Proficiency in MRP systems.
Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment and drive change.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred.
5–7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in metal forming, stamping, or fabrication.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute daily/weekly production schedules to meet customer demand, utilizing MRP systems.
Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to improve efficiency, reduce setup times (SMED), and increase throughput by driving the following metrics: On-Time Delivery (OTD), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Scrap and Rework Rate, Labor Efficiency/Productivity.
Ensure products meet engineering specifications, reducing scrap and rework rates.
Supervise, train, and mentor production personnel, fostering a strong culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with maintenance teams to ensure uptime of key equipment and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Enforce all Safety standards and policies, conducting regular audits and incident investigations.
Monitor production budgets and reduce plant operating costs.
