Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 or more years of experience in food manufacturing or a related manufacturing environment.
6 or more years of leadership experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety requirements within regulated manufacturing facilities.
Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing process, equipment, or productivity improvements.
Experience working with Process Safety Management principles and programs.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher, or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use operational data to improve performance.
Proficiency with manufacturing systems, production reporting tools, and key operational performance metrics.

Responsibilities

Lead daily production operations, including blending, weighing, packaging, and related manufacturing activities to meet safety, quality, service, and productivity objectives.
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and regulatory requirements, while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
Drive execution of the manufacturing schedule to meet customer demand and operational performance goals.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, quality, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Supply Chain, and other departments to support operational excellence.
Manage performance, development, succession planning, and engagement activities for production team members.
Lead operational incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures and manufacturing best practices.
Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure preventive maintenance activities are effectively planned and executed.
