The Production Manager role is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (onsite role). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 or more years of experience in food manufacturing or a related manufacturing environment.
  • 6 or more years of leadership experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety requirements within regulated manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing process, equipment, or productivity improvements.
  • Experience working with Process Safety Management principles and programs.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher, or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use operational data to improve performance.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems, production reporting tools, and key operational performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations, including blending, weighing, packaging, and related manufacturing activities to meet safety, quality, service, and productivity objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and regulatory requirements, while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Drive execution of the manufacturing schedule to meet customer demand and operational performance goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, quality, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Supply Chain, and other departments to support operational excellence.
  • Manage performance, development, succession planning, and engagement activities for production team members.
  • Lead operational incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures and manufacturing best practices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure preventive maintenance activities are effectively planned and executed.
