About The Position

Hubbell is seeking a Production Manager for its Chatsworth, CA location. This role is responsible for all aspects of operations, including personnel, productivity, and on-time delivery. The candidate will manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance through practices like 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma. The Production Manager will implement company and factory policies and strategies, translating them into business, team, and personnel goals. The annual pay for this position ranges from $103,000 to $130,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Production/Operations Manager – preferably in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Dynamic, results oriented, metric driven, disciplined leadership
  • Excellent Staff development and engagement skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach Production Supervisors, providing development and training.
  • Maintain a safe working environment consistent with all local, state, and OSHA requirements.
  • Originate, measure, and improve key indicators for the production team (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Labor effectivity, Inventory and Cost).
  • Continue to enhance the LEAN culture and ensure the production area maintains a clean, well-organized environment through continuous improvement and 5S.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement activities by eliminating non-valued added activities in the manufacturing process (waste elimination).
  • Approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment to meet productivity and customer requirements.
  • Establish work requirements and ensure production schedules are met.
  • Develop staff and foster a culture within the business unit dedicated to the highest levels of quality and customer service.
