This role leads, oversees, and manages production, projects, and supervisors. The Production Manager executes material flow and improvements, along with other processes of day-to-day operations, with a high emphasis on production schedule delivery. This position involves attending daily production management meetings, supporting on all issues, and following up on corrective actions. The Production Manager will assist the Plant Manager in day-to-day operational activities, handle production planning and scheduling, and support business KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives such as Andons, recuts, on-time performance, and labor goals. This role also identifies, requests, and approves tools and shop supplies, supports supervisors on workforce engagement and shop floor policies, and focuses on production organization, safety, and 5S. Additionally, the Production Manager will manage overtime and labor cost/scrap reduction, ensure product quality by engaging with the quality department on customer and internal requirements, and assure corrective actions and root cause analysis are executed. The role requires coordinating production scheduling for all shifts and material handling support, as well as coordinating scheduling with tank production, overseeing heavy material handling, inventory issues, and storage of finished goods and customer product.
