About The Position

The Production Manager - Converting provides manufacturing expertise to the site’s make-to-order paper converting department. This role ensures that the production of products and processes meets or exceeds safety, quality, service, and productivity expectations while driving a values-based culture that focuses on employee development, retention and manufacturing best practices. The department includes 70+ employees, 18 machines, and evolving 24/7 operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Green Belt Certification and proven experience of leading continuous improvement projects.
10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in 24/7, make-to-order manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success in building and developing leaders — not simply managing teams, but applying talent management tools, development plans and partnership with L&D, HR improve leadership capabilities and competencies.
Proven expertise in make-to-order production environment and utilization of Lean methodology tools to sustain manufacturing processes.
Experience managing and adhering to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Strong ERP proficiency required; SAP experience preferred.
Solid financial acumen, including, cost control, budgeting, and productivity analysis.
Demonstrated ability to operate strategically — balancing long-term planning with operational execution.
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions and levels of the organization.
Must have experience working in a matrix environment.
