About The Position

The Production Manager supports the Plant Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily manufacturing operations. This role ensures efficient production flow, high-quality output, and a safe, compliant work environment. The Production Manager plays a key leadership role in labour planning, material forecasting, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Technical training in the building trades, manufacturing, or related field; or a degree/diploma in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate individuals and teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High attention to detail.

  • Review current and upcoming production orders to plan labour, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and implement proactive solutions to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Support accurate, on-time delivery of customer orders according to established schedules.
  • Maintain high manufacturing quality standards and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Train, coach, and support team members to meet performance expectations and production goals.
  • Participate in production, quality, and safety meetings to align with organizational priorities.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure safe movement through aisles and workstations.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support plant operations.
