About The Position

The Production Manager will be responsible for managing a large section of a manufacturing facility. This person will work closely with the Director of Operations in all activities to determine the profitability and success of the product team. They will lead a team of supervisors and their teams in a Continuous Improvement Environment and utilizing Lean Principles with a focus on Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or relevant experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 2 years spent in a manufacturing management or focus factory management roles.

  • Significant experience with Operational Vision / Balanced Leadership- The successful candidate will be able to balance long term improvements with the day to day production needs of the unit.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Strong Leadership of teams in all circumstances from hiring to training, management, promotion, discipline and termination.
  • Able to effectively create a vision based on company goals, initiate projects and facilitate their execution, using available resources and Lean techniques.
  • Demonstrates an understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates high respect for people as individuals and as members of a company team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
