About The Position

Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, our Switchgear facility plays a critical role in delivering customized power distribution and control solutions for customers around the world. Our team designs, manufactures, tests and supports low- and medium-voltage switchgear systems that help ensure reliable power for mission-critical applications, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial operations and other essential infrastructure. As a Production Manager, you will lead a team of skilled production employees responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of switchgear products. This role is responsible for driving safe, quality-focused production execution while developing employees, supporting business objectives and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment. Success in this position requires strong people leadership, operational decision-making, cross-functional partnership and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Working knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Working knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Basic understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop employees in a manufacturing, production or operations environment.
  • Ability to promote and reinforce a safety-first culture while ensuring adherence to established safety and quality standards.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing engineering, project management or operations stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both production employees and professional stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Experience using production metrics, operational data or workforce information to support staffing, scheduling and production decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience leading teams in custom manufacturing, switchgear, electrical assembly or stall-build production environment.
  • Experience partnering with project teams to support production planning, project execution and milestone achievement.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement, productivity or process optimization initiatives.
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing technology, systems or digital tools to improve operational efficiency and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct day-to-day production activities, assign work based on business priorities and support the team in meeting safety, quality and production goals.
  • Lead, coach and develop production employees by setting expectations, providing feedback, addressing performance and attendance concerns and supporting employee growth and development.
  • Champion a safety-first culture by reinforcing safe work practices, identifying and addressing risks and ensuring compliance with established safety standards.
  • Monitor production performance, staffing needs, capacity and workflow to effectively support changing production demands and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, manufacturing engineering and other cross-functional partners to support project execution, resolve production challenges and communicate progress.
  • Analyze production metrics, operational data and team performance to identify trends, remove barriers and drive informed decision-making.
  • Maintain documentation related to operating procedures, production processes, safety requirements and quality standards.
  • Communicate production priorities, status updates and business changes clearly to employees and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and overall team performance.
