About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for establishing the duties and activities of positions that report to them. This role involves selecting, developing, motivating, training, and evaluating personnel in manufacturing, production, and material handling operations. The manager will support corrective action and customer concern activities, manage quarantine and containment processes, and ensure adherence to TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements. Key responsibilities include interacting with customers and internal personnel to resolve safety, quality, and throughput issues, driving continuous improvement and cost savings through advanced manufacturing techniques, and providing support for all plant manufacturing functions. The role also entails tracking and improving plant measurables within the Midway Operating System (MOS), supporting corporate and plant continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, VAVE, Cpk improvements, LTA), and enforcing company policies and guidelines. Confidentiality, open communication, and treating team members with dignity and respect are essential. The Production Manager has the authority to halt production for safety or quality concerns and will perform other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

Establish the duties and activities of positions that directly and/or indirectly report to him.
Select, develop, motivate, train and evaluate personnel in the manufacturing, production and material handling operations.
Support and assist in all corrective action and Customer Concern activities.
Responsible for Quarantine and Containment activities.
Responsible for enforcing and maintaining TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
Interact with Customers, Corporate and Plant personnel to resolve safety, quality and through-put concerns.
Responsible for continuous improvement and cost saving activities utilizing improved manufacturing techniques.
Provide support for all manufacturing functions within the plant, at any Corporate facility or location and tooling or equipment shops.
Track and improve plant measurables included in the Midway Operating System (MOS).
Support Corporate and Plant continuous improvement activities such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, VAVE, Cpk improvements and LTA.
Responsible for enforcing and maintaining Company policies and guidelines.
Responsible for confidentiality, open and honest communications.
Has the authority to stop production operations with respect to safety or quality concerns.
Treats all Team Members with dignity and respect.
Performs all other tasks as assigned.
