The Production Manager is responsible for establishing the duties and activities of positions that report to them. This role involves selecting, developing, motivating, training, and evaluating personnel in manufacturing, production, and material handling operations. The manager will support corrective action and customer concern activities, manage quarantine and containment processes, and ensure adherence to TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements. Key responsibilities include interacting with customers and internal personnel to resolve safety, quality, and throughput issues, driving continuous improvement and cost savings through advanced manufacturing techniques, and providing support for all plant manufacturing functions. The role also entails tracking and improving plant measurables within the Midway Operating System (MOS), supporting corporate and plant continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, VAVE, Cpk improvements, LTA), and enforcing company policies and guidelines. Confidentiality, open communication, and treating team members with dignity and respect are essential. The Production Manager has the authority to halt production for safety or quality concerns and will perform other assigned tasks.
