The production manager is an integral part of our team, working with the leadership, procurement, and engineering departments to plan, prioritize, and promote productions tasks. The production manager is responsible not only for developing build requirements and schedules, but for developing the individual production staff members into a high-performing team. A successful production manager will need strong organizational and communication skills—paying attention to key details while being able to see how those details fit into the broader projects and goals. Further, they will display understanding for manufacturing processes and team behind it—building trust and motivating the best from the team. Resource management, problem solving, and project reporting are part of the daily responsibilities of the production manager. Most importantly, this person must be self-motivated and have a team mindset—able to communicate obstacles, set clear expectations, and support the people, processes, and practices to complete projects on time.
