The primary responsibility of the Production Manager is to plan, oversee, and supervise all production operations within a designated area to optimize the organization's resources and achieve set production standards and timetables. This includes meeting targets for volume, cost, waste reduction, safety, and quality. The Production Manager will create and follow manufacturing schedules and procedures, as well as assign workforce and financial resources to boost productivity. This position will consistently assess employees and their equipment to identify areas for improvement. Moreover, this role involves leading, managing, assessing, and fostering a team of supervisors, shift leads, and employees responsible for various production tasks such as assembly, raw production, machine operation, processing, treatment, or packaging. Depending on the specific department or area of responsibility, additional responsibilities may include: Injection Molding – The manager should have expertise in all levels of injection molding operators and setting up processes for new molds. They will oversee the entire process from concept to completion, regularly initiating mold change programs and starting full line operations. Concrete Operations – The manager should be knowledgeable about all concrete operation levels and may supervise night shifts as needed at the assigned facility.
