At Cabot Hopkinsville we produce conductive additive products for use in critical battery applications These products are enabling the energy transition. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility featuring advanced carbon black furnaces that are ideally positioning us to fulfill the future demand of the growing global battery market. We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our site operations. In this role, you’ll champion a culture of safety and efficiency while delivering the high-quality performance our customers depend on. Requirements

  • Knowledge in areas such as Safe Work Practices, Confined Space Entry, LT&T, hot work, and other permitting processes.
  • Proven ability to manage & develop budgets
  • Ability in capacity monitoring and planning
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Planning (CIP) process
  • Ability to gather, analyze and draw well-reasoned conclusions
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process control
  • Knowledge of product specifications
  • Understanding of product uniformity /variation
  • Knowledge of safety awareness
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Engineering discipline required.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, including three years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the production plan to ensure on time delivery at the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure the production schedule is designed to gain maximum utilization of manpower, equipment, and material on all shifts.
  • Plan and lead control of production quality to reach specific quality objectives and maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all ISO and IATF standards are met on an ongoing basis.
  • Create production budget and minimize production expenses to achieve established plan.
  • Optimize costs within the constraints of appropriate product quality standard, operating procedure, and budget.
  • Manage reliable and predictable operations.
  • Reduce process variability and improve consistency throughout the organization.
  • Effectively practice Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees and assuring effective alignment with the matrix functions.
  • Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
