About The Position
The Production Manager is focused on driving plant operations. This role is perfect for an individual who is detailed, organized, and a self-starter. A vital member of the Production Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Requirements
- 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing, preferably in non-climate-controlled environments
- Possess a working knowledge of TPS concepts e.g. work place organization/5S, root cause analysis
- Understands production planning concepts - able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment
Responsibilities
- Manage labor effectively for entire shift
- Drive plant operations and continuous improvement
- Work closely with all departments to achieve plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including safety, environment, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost
- Ensure that all personnel, prior to the start of shift, are wearing the correct safety equipment and that safety awareness is maintained throughout the shift
- Ensure that all safety and incident reporting procedures are followed as well as all individuals are properly trained and their job functions are being performed correctly
