About The Position

Geoquest USA, Inc. (formerly The Reinforced Earth Company) is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support. The Production Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the product production processes of the facility. The Production Supervisor manages production staff, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and optimizes productivity while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines and budgets.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing facility
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Proven record in training employees about safety and production
• Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
• Ability to coach and motivate employees
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency in using production processes and machinery preferred
• Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an accident-free environment
• Ensuring production processes stay within budgets and deadlines
• Ensuring proper supply of materials
• Supervising and managing production staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure a high-performing team
• Monitor production schedules and workflow to meet production goals
• Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
• Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
• Maintain detailed production records and reports for management
• Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
• Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and workflow policies to enhance productivity and efficiency without compromising safety or quality
