About The Position

This role oversees the operations of all packaging lines on the 3rd shift, reporting to the shift supervisor. The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient production activities, managing employee performance, training, and maintaining equipment and quality standards. This position also involves enforcing FDA and company guidelines, documenting production data, and communicating with other shifts and management.

Requirements

Experience in giving direction to employees.
Experience in operating and diagnosing equipment.
Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies.
Mathematical skills.
Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management.

Responsibilities

Oversee operations of all packaging lines.
Supervise shift supervisors to ensure execution of work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules, and attendance.
Evaluate and recommend employees for hire or termination.
Coordinate with management to ensure efficient production activities.
Resolve concerns while adhering to company policy and standards of behavior.
Track and communicate employee performance, providing disciplinary/corrective action as needed.
Train and coach operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime.
Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition.
Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace.
Document downtime and lost efficiency.
Ensure product quality guidelines are followed.
Enforce all FDA and company guidelines.
Assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Maintain LOTO certification.
Review and assist with all quality control documents.
Ensure Food Safety of Production.
Communicate cross-functional shift activities from other shifts to the operations team on a daily basis.
Perform miscellaneous duties as required by Manager.
