About The Position

Moore, Tulsa is looking for a Production Manager to join our team! This position will work a 3/4, 4/3 rotating schedule from 5:00 PM–5:00 AM. The selected candidate will initially work on day shift for training and onboarding before transitioning to their regular night-shift schedule. The Production Manager is responsible for supervising, coordinating, planning, and controlling production operations within our Critical Communications/Print-Mail facility. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring the department meets established goals for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Waste Reduction, and On-Time Delivery. The Production Manager ensures timely and efficient manufacturing while meeting customer specifications and maintaining cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced print production environment, strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and quickly adjust to changing production needs.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of USPS requirements and processes is preferred.
  • Some college coursework preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in print production, scanning, manufacturing, or related production operations preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a production environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with roll-fed and cut-sheet print production equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall performance and operations of the assigned shift(s).
  • Provides leadership and direction to Print Supervisors, Lead Operators, and production employees.
  • Trains, develops, coaches, evaluates, and disciplines employees as necessary and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily print production operations, including roll-fed and cut-sheet printing equipment.
  • Direct and monitor Print Supervisors and Lead Operators to ensure consistent compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and production expectations.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor through management-by-walking-around practices.
  • Work closely with Department Managers, Client Services, and Data Processing to ensure jobs are properly set up and optimized for efficient production.
  • Review and address issues involving work tickets, materials, equipment, workflow, and other job-related concerns.
  • Follow through on corrective actions, process improvements, and solutions designed to prevent recurring production issues.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures aimed at minimizing errors and supporting a zero-defect environment.
  • Establish and maintain incident logs and reporting to identify trends, maintain historical records, and resolve recurring quality or production issues.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with vendors and ensure appropriate levels of production consumables are maintained.
  • Partner with the Director of Production and HR to provide input on daily multi-shift production schedules, priorities, staffing needs, and conflict resolution.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and workflow.
  • Monitor workload and staffing levels across shifts and make recommendations or adjustments as needed to meet production demands.
  • Ensure production deadlines and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional working environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in communication, conduct, and interactions with employees, customers, and leadership.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is mandatory.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
