About The Position

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. T1 Energy is looking to hire a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our G2 solar cell fab in Rockdale, Texas. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has been on the floor, run a line at scale, and knows exactly what it takes to drive output, quality, and efficiency in a high-volume cell fab environment. You've done this before. You've managed shifts, hit targets, and built teams that hold the line when production gets hard. Now you're ready to help us do it at a scale that matters for American energy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in cell fab, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing production operations.
  • Demonstrated experience running a production line at scale in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of cell fab processes, equipment, and yield management.
  • Proven track record leading multi-shift teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong command of production KPIs, OEE, SPC, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting new facility ramp or capacity expansion is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end production operations for the G2 solar cell fab, driving throughput, yield, and OEE across all lines.
  • Lead and develop a multi-shift production team including shift supervisors, line leads, and operators.
  • Establish and maintain production schedules, staffing plans, and capacity models aligned with facility output targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve yield, and eliminate waste across the production floor.
  • Partner closely with Process, Equipment, Quality, and EHS teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing operation.
  • Monitor and report key production KPIs to senior leadership, identifying trends and driving corrective actions with urgency.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for production excursions and yield losses.
  • Support ramp activities including line qualification, operator training, and capacity scaling.
  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence from the floor up.
