About The Position

Game One is the premier provider of apparel, gear, and equipment unifying teams and fans in schools, clubs, and organizations. The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring team safety; building teams and training/allocating manpower; driving and implementing a systematic and team approach to continuous improvement solutions to improve quality, reach through-put and cost targets; and strive for healthy team morale. The Production Manager will direct and coordinate decorating functions at the Swanton production facility to obtain high quality, efficient operations. This role will analyze production operations and establish priorities for production by performing the following duties personally or through team members.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong operational experience, with ability to manage and lead people and processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude a definite asset.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production departments and coordinate, acting as a liaison between departments.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members.
  • Coordinate activities to achieve business metrics and implement processes and initiatives. Proactively analyzing KPIs and providing guidance for improvement.
  • Collaborate with peers at other locations on processes, procedures, best practices, and implement when appropriate.
  • Review production demands on an ongoing basis in order to establish priorities and plan department operations, including overtime and staffing requirements.
  • Leverage expenses and staffing for most efficient and cost-effective production.
  • Coordinate production activities to ensure quality of products meets order specifications and customer expectations.
  • Stay up to date on product development, printing and embroidery techniques, and market trends.
  • Resolve operational, production, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Manage equipment maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Develop or revise standard operational and work practices and ensure workers are trained to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Keep the General Manager informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, offering ideas and viable solutions.
