The Production Manager at Phoenix Products is responsible for organizing, coordinating, planning, and scheduling all production activities within the Manufacturing Department. This role involves learning all aspects of manufacturing fuel storage systems and generator protective buildings and cabinets, including their characteristics and applications, as well as related accessories and supplies. The manager will analyze and plan work schedules based on the build plan and customer orders, establish job assignments considering personnel expertise to maximize productivity and meet monthly shipping targets, and analyze all job orders to establish efficient and productive schedules. The position also entails responsibility for all shop equipment, tools, materials, and raw materials used in the department, assisting with customer problems and developing corrective actions, reacting to change orders, communicating changes to production personnel, and establishing labor hours for each project while updating processes. Responsibilities also include the upkeep and maintenance of buildings and equipment, reviewing and tracking material costs per product line, establishing quality standards with the Plant Coordinator, managing the stockroom and its contents, and setting monthly targets with the Production Coordinator and Plant Manager.
