About The Position

GTI is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations and production execution within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving schedule attainment, workforce leadership, production efficiency, safety, quality, and operational performance across assigned manufacturing areas. The ideal candidate will have experience leading production teams within fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, industrial manufacturing, or complex integration environments and possess a hands-on leadership style focused on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, workflow management, and production execution
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies
  • Experience within fabrication, coatings, electro-mechanical assembly, complex assembly, or integration environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability and willingness to spend the majority of time on the manufacturing floor

  • Certification in project management or process improvement such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing data analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Manage production schedules based on weekly demand established by plant leadership
  • Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production goals to supervisors, team leads, and operators
  • Drive schedule execution while maintaining adherence to quality and delivery expectations
  • Monitor production workflows, labor utilization, and manufacturing performance across assigned areas
  • Adjust schedules, staffing, or operational resources as needed to support production requirements
  • Coordinate with other production areas to ensure proper flow of information, materials, and finished product
  • Support operational execution across fabrication, coatings, assembly, integration, or related manufacturing activities
  • Supervise production staff and maintain accountability to operational expectations
  • Emphasize organizational structure on the manufacturing floor and establish clear expectations for teams and operators
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve production and performance goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and operational execution
  • Maintain a strong floor presence and support hands-on leadership across manufacturing operations
  • Spend the majority of time on the manufacturing floor supporting production execution and issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across manufacturing operations
  • Promote adherence to manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and operational standards
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve production issues and support corrective actions
  • Support operational discipline and accountability related to safety and quality performance
  • Implement process improvements to improve operator efficiency, workflow execution, and manufacturing performance
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Monitor production metrics and operational performance data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Report production metrics, operational issues, and performance updates to plant leadership
  • Assist with process optimization, layout improvements, standardized work practices, and operational scalability initiatives
