Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree required, preferably in business or engineering
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years or more of experience working in a CFR Title 14 Part 145 certified Repair Station preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to work on and solve a variety of problems and diverse scope and complexity in imaginative and practical ways and evaluate alternative solutions that may require coordination across multiple teams.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities to effectively work with people in a team environment and at various levels of the organization.
  • Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct work activity of Leads in a Title 14, Part 145 regulated Repair Station.
  • Distribute workload appropriately.
  • Motivate and empower team members.
  • Develop team members including, but not limited to, constructing and executing development plans.
  • Monitor production costs and ensure delivery performance by performing capacity analysis using build plans, determining staffing requirements, ensuring that departmental productivity targets are met to meet customer requirements, and troubleshooting schedule and material issues.
  • Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety investigations and audits.
  • Address safety non-compliance.
  • Maintain Operation Showcase.
  • Ensure quality standards are met that emphasize and focus on continuous improvement in an effort to improve manufacturing capability and reduce rework and scrap.
  • Contain source of quality issues.
  • Communicate with customers and establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Perform capacity analysis using build plans.
  • Determine staffing requirements for the assigned production area.
  • Ensure that departmental productivity targets are met to meet customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling and material issues.
  • Develop and deploy standardized work instructions of assigned department(s).
  • Ensure process stability through following standardized work.
  • Administer and ensure compliance of company policies.
  • Investigate and document employee-related issues.
  • Counsel employees and issue corrective action.
