About The Position

Champion Home Builder, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Production Manager to join their team at the manufactured home production facility in Pembroke, NC. This role involves directing and coordinating activities related to the production of the company's products, either personally or through subordinate supervisors. The Production Manager will establish production and quality control standards, develop budgets and cost controls, and plan production activities to ensure efficient operations. This position requires coordination with various departments such as procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize the use of resources. The role also involves reviewing operational reports to identify and resolve production issues, implementing methods to improve product quality, and revising production schedules as needed. The Production Manager will manage subordinate supervisors and be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their units, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the production of the company's product(s) personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
Consults with engineering personnel relative to the modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise the plant employees.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
