About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for establishing the duties and activities of positions that report to them. They are tasked with selecting, developing, motivating, training, and evaluating personnel in manufacturing, production, and material handling operations. This role also involves supporting corrective action and Customer Concern activities, managing Quarantine and Containment activities, and ensuring compliance with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements. The Production Manager will interact with customers, corporate, and plant personnel to resolve safety, quality, and throughput concerns. They are responsible for driving continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives through advanced manufacturing techniques. This position provides support for all manufacturing functions across various company facilities and external shops. Additionally, the Production Manager is responsible for tracking and improving plant measurables within the Midway Operating System (MOS) and supporting corporate and plant continuous improvement activities like Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, VAVE, Cpk improvements, and LTA. They must enforce company policies and guidelines, maintain confidentiality, and foster open communication. The Production Manager has the authority to halt production for safety or quality concerns and is expected to treat all team members with dignity and respect. Other assigned tasks will also be performed.

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, and material handling operations.
  • Experience in personnel selection, development, motivation, training, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of corrective action and Customer Concern activities.
  • Experience with Quarantine and Containment activities.
  • Understanding of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Ability to interact with customers, corporate, and plant personnel.
