About The Position

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Production Manager- Food Manufacturing at Tiffin University. Oversee a large food production and packaging facility, producing fresh food and bakery products and providing service to 50 branches in 8 states

Requirements

• 7 or more years of experience managing a food production and packaging facility
• A full understanding of weights and measures
• Understanding of S.O.P., S.S.O.P, and G.M.P.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe Certification and HACCP understanding is a plus
• Experience with R/D FDA and State Inspection experience
• Understanding of department production flows
• Intermediate mechanical understanding of food production & packaging equipment is a plus
• Excellent time management skills and ability to focus on details

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors
• Maintain and strive to improve efficiency standards
• Comply with SQF standards
• Demonstrate a full understanding of culinary practices and hold production team members accountable for using proper portion control methods and techniques
• Control food and labor cost
• Ability to interact and work with all involved in the food safety inspection process
