Job Summary: Gotion Inc., a leading innovator in battery cell manufacturing, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Cell Production Manager to oversee our production operations in Manteno, IL. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in manufacturing production management to drive operational excellence, ensure product quality, and achieve production goals. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing production management.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in large-scale production environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, production techniques, and equipment management.
  • Strong capabilities in production planning, cost control, quality assurance, and efficiency improvement.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software (e.g., SAP, MES)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • High level of responsibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production plans to meet deadlines and production targets.
  • Monitor and manage production progress, quality metrics, and costs to improve overall efficiency.
  • Optimize workflows through lean manufacturing practices and reduce production waste.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of production equipment to ensure consistent performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement smart manufacturing techniques where applicable.
  • Build, train, and manage a high-performing production team.
  • Evaluate team performance regularly and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Procurement teams to support new product launches and stabilize production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and other quality management standards.
  • Enforce safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Prepare detailed production reports, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to management.
