About The Position

A rapidly growing food production company with national distribution is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee production activities within a high-volume facility in Colorado Springs. This position is ideal for an experienced operations leader who enjoys developing teams, optimizing manufacturing performance, and creating a culture centered on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational goals while ensuring products are produced efficiently and to the highest standards. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will provide leadership for day-to-day production activities, partnering with supervisors and cross-functional departments to maintain operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of balancing people development, process improvement, and performance management in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in food production or consumer packaged goods manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and operational excellence principles
  • Understanding of GMPs, food safety programs, sanitation requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience managing production teams across multiple shifts
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action plans

  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production personnel
  • Foster accountability, engagement, and professional growth across the workforce
  • Assist with workforce planning, staffing needs, and employee performance management
  • Build a positive, collaborative environment focused on operational success
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with supply chain, quality, and operational departments to support production goals
