About The Position

This Production Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing activities, including metal forming and press operations, to ensure products are made safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role manages production plan execution, personnel management, and equipment maintenance to meet customer on-time delivery (OTD) goals while maximizing profitability. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of metal forming processes (stamping, drawing, flanging, bending) and interpretation of blueprints/BOMs.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment and drive change.
  • 5–7+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in metal forming, stamping, or fabrication.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute daily/weekly production schedules to meet customer demand, utilizing MRP systems.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to improve efficiency, reduce setup times (SMED), and increase throughput by driving metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Scrap and Rework Rate, and Labor Efficiency/Productivity.
  • Ensure products meet engineering specifications, reducing scrap and rework rates.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor production personnel, fostering a strong culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with maintenance teams to ensure uptime of key equipment and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Enforce all Safety standards and policies, conducting regular audits and incident investigations.
  • Monitor production budgets and reduce plant operating costs.
