About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety, quality, and production activities to meet the plant's measurable goals. This role provides vision, direction, and leadership for production operations, driving continuous improvement and leading the development and implementation of Self-Directed Work Teams. The Production Manager also participates as a member of the plant operating team, contributing to strategic planning and budgeting for the manufacturing operation. This position ensures adherence to ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards, provides direction and development for direct reports, and ensures fair application of company policies and procedures. A commitment to treating all team members with respect and dignity is essential.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing leadership position with automotive stamping exposure.
Computer literate.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to continuous improvement through team member participation and involvement.

College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Handles all aspects of safety, quality, and production activities with the objective of meeting the plant’s MOS measurable goals.
Provides the vision, direction and leadership for production operations.
Drives continuous improvement activities.
Leads the plant’s efforts towards development and implementation of Self-Directed Work Teams.
Participates with peers as a member of the plant operating team.
Participates in plant strategic planning and budgeting processes for the manufacturing operation.
Promotes, enforces and sustains ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards in manufacturing activity.
Assures Area Managers and other direct reports receive appropriate direction, training and development.
Assures fair application, compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
Performs other essential functions as assigned.
