About The Position

Interstate Group, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment while driving continuous improvement across all departments. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of production or operations management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills in a high-paced setting.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, LOTO procedures, and PPE compliance.
  • Experience interpreting production data and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production supervisors and staff to achieve daily goals in safety, quality, and output.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular coaching, and ensure consistent accountability.
  • Develop team members through ongoing training, skill-building, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies.
  • Foster a positive and productive work culture built on communication, teamwork, and respect.
  • Oversee all aspects of production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow.
  • Monitor output and downtime to ensure on-time delivery and optimal productivity.
  • Review production data and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and materials teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped production floor.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost savings, process optimization, and product quality.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing PPE use, LOTO procedures, and hazard prevention.
  • Support and oversee incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain awareness of hazardous materials, DEQ requirements, and fire safety protocols.
  • Lead by example — reinforcing safe behavior and holding all employees accountable.
