About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring! Stefanini is looking for a Production Manager (2nd Shift) in Hagerstown, MD. This role involves managing an assembly organization against safety, quality, delivery, and financial targets by leading and coaching a production team. The position requires ensuring a safe work environment, implementing continuous improvement, and taking full accountability for team development, union relationships, and policy deployment. The ideal candidate will inspire and influence through communicative leadership, foster two-way communication, and ensure high employee engagement. This role also involves developing the industrial workforce to secure competence and assessing employee performance and initiating necessary training or corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years' supervision experience in a manufacturing environment OR seven (7) years minimum combined education and supervision experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Goal-oriented leader with a strong drive to deliver
  • Ability to continually develop and improve the organization and its employees.
  • Excellent communication skills, including working with cross functional teams, are essential to be able to build networks and create trusting relationships.
  • Belief in building a knowledge-based organization with a strong teamwork as a foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your Assembly organization against setting safety, quality, delivery and financial targets by leading and coaching your production team
  • Ensure a safe work environment and behaviors for all team members using a methodical approach to risk identification, mitigation and competence development
  • Continue the implementation of continuous improvement, which means to implement standardized ways of working, develop the organization and achieve contribution from all employees
  • Full accountability and ownership of your team's development, Union relationships, project follow up, midterm road map (0-1 year) and policy deployment from plant to operator level.
  • Inspire and influence through a communicative leadership style with your team and cross functional groups, with 2-way communication and high employee engagement.
  • Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities, how they contribute to the total result and that they are recognized for performance
  • Develop industrial workforce to secure competence
  • Assess performance, competencies, and flexibility of employees within the department and initiate appropriate training, counselling, or corrective action to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the employees
