About The Position

Mission Linen Supply has immediate opportunities for Production Manager Trainees in state-of-the-art operating plants across California and Arizona. This program is designed to place high-potential new managers on a track for career opportunities in production and general management at Mission Linen Supply. This is not a typical entry-level position. We want managers who are ready to learn our industry, understand our customer base, and lead and motivate a successful team. Industry experience is not required — we're looking for dynamic individuals with leadership potential and a strong business and customer orientation.

Mission Linen Supply is a family-owned, privately held company and a leading provider of linen, uniform, and facility service products across five western states. Founded in 1930 and headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA, Mission has grown from a one-man operation into an industry leader, while remaining stable, essential, and steadily growing. Industrial laundry and linen services are a recession-resistant, essential industry — hospitals, hotels, and restaurants need clean linens and uniforms regardless of the economy. That means real, ongoing opportunities for career advancement, not a static org chart.

This is a fast-track, nine-month program in which you're trained by the highest-ranking operations managers in the company to lead your own production facility. In less than one year, you'll learn what most of our production and service staff take five years to learn. After successful completion of the program, you'll move into a Production Manager position at one of our 25 facilities — and, ultimately, have the opportunity to grow into a General Manager or District Manager role if desired. Production management experience gained during this program provides a strong foundation for understanding our business and assuming a leadership role in the company. We'll pair you closely with experienced operations managers and plant teams to learn all aspects of production management.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree highly desired
• Military experience welcomed
• Willingness to relocate after completion of the program is important for career growth
• A strong business and customer orientation
• Demonstrated leadership potential, intelligence, commitment, and a genuine willingness to learn
• Education and experience that show a track record of taking initiative and following through
