About The Position

AirPro Diagnostics is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager of Manufacturing and Assembly to lead and scale our manufacturing, assembly, inventory, procurement, quality, calibration, warehousing, and shipping operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for bringing structure, discipline, and operational excellence to a growing manufacturing environment. AirPro has an established team and active production, including assembly of our next-generation calibration system and our diagnostic tool. As demand and product complexity grow, we need a manufacturing leader who can quickly assess the current operation, identify gaps, establish effective processes, and build a team capable of consistently delivering quality products efficiently and at scale. The successful candidate will be comfortable stepping into an operation already in motion. We are looking for a leader who can evaluate what exists today, determine what is working and what is not, make changes quickly, and create the manufacturing infrastructure needed for the next stage of AirPro's growth.

Requirements

Significant leadership experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, or related operations.
Demonstrated experience improving or turning around manufacturing operations.
Experience building manufacturing processes and systems in a growing or rapidly changing environment.
Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, procurement, supply chain, quality systems, warehousing, and fulfillment.
Experience managing the assembly of technical, electronic, electromechanical, automotive, or similarly complex products is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to identify production constraints and translate problems into practical solutions.
Experience developing and managing suppliers and component sourcing.
Strong understanding of quality-control principles, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action processes.
Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, production metrics, and operational controls.
Proven experience hiring, developing, evaluating, and, when necessary, restructuring teams.
Strong financial and business judgment, including an understanding of manufacturing cost, labor efficiency, inventory investment, and supplier economics.
Hands-on. Willing to spend time on the manufacturing floor, understand the products and processes firsthand, and work directly with the team to solve problems.
Decisive. Capable of quickly assessing situations, making decisions, and driving those decisions through execution.
Process-oriented without being bureaucratic. Able to create the structure and discipline necessary to scale while maintaining the speed and flexibility of a growing company.
Accountable. Owns the performance of the manufacturing operation and establishes the same level of accountability throughout the team.

Responsibilities

Lead all manufacturing and assembly activities for current and future tools, and hardware products.
Establish efficient, repeatable manufacturing and assembly processes.
Develop production plans and workflows that support current demand and future growth.
Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, rework, and unnecessary costs.
Establish production metrics, capacity plans, and performance expectations.
Ensure products are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
Own inventory management for components, raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
Establish inventory controls, reorder points, safety stock levels, and cycle-counting processes.
Lead procurement and ordering of components, parts, materials, packaging, and manufacturing supplies.
Manage supplier performance, lead times, availability, quality, and cost.
Identify supply-chain risks and develop alternative sources and contingency plans.
Balance material availability with appropriate working-capital discipline.
Establish and maintain quality-control processes throughout manufacturing and assembly.
Develop inspection, testing, documentation, and product-release procedures.
Ensure required equipment and product calibrations are completed, documented, and maintained.
Establish processes for identifying, documenting, investigating, and correcting quality issues.
Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for defects, failures, and recurring production issues.
Build a culture where quality is owned throughout the manufacturing process rather than inspected into the finished product.
Oversee warehouse organization, material flow, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
Establish processes that ensure inventory accuracy and efficient movement of materials through the operation.
Ensure finished products are packaged and shipped accurately and on time.
Develop appropriate controls for inbound and outbound materials and products.
Assess current manufacturing and operational processes and rapidly identify opportunities for improvement.
Document and implement standard operating procedures, work instructions, and appropriate process controls.
Establish measurable KPIs for manufacturing, quality, inventory, procurement, and fulfillment.
Use data to identify problems and drive continuous improvement.
Develop an operation capable of scaling without sacrificing quality, delivery performance, or cost control.
Recommend and implement appropriate systems, equipment, tooling, technology, and automation.
Assess the capabilities, performance, and structure of the existing manufacturing and assembly team.
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, expectations, and accountability.
Develop existing employees where appropriate and identify capability or staffing gaps.
Recruit and hire additional team members as needed.
Make personnel and organizational changes, including termination decisions, when necessary to build a high-performing operation.
Create a culture of urgency, ownership, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
Be highly visible and actively engaged with the team and day-to-day operation.
Stabilize and improve current production and assembly.
Assess the current manufacturing team, responsibilities, skills, and staffing requirements.
Identify immediate production bottlenecks and constraints.
Establish clear production schedules, priorities, and accountability.
Improve parts availability and procurement processes.
Establish accurate inventory controls and visibility.
Review existing quality-control and calibration processes.
Improve warehouse organization and material flow.
Establish meaningful operational metrics and reporting.
Develop a scalable manufacturing and assembly model capable of supporting AirPro's growth.
