About The Position

The Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing all equipment needs of the assigned production division. This role also assists with production operations, including fixture and training aid fabrication, and provides training and supervision on the production floor as required.

Requirements

Good working knowledge of mechanical repair and electrical diagnostics.
Demonstrated skill in identification and troubleshooting with regard to mechanical and electrical equipment.
Ability to problem-solve and work independently.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to read drawings, both mechanical and electrical.
Knowledgeable in HVAC and air compressor maintenance and air delivery systems.
Must be able to work with others, both management and non-management, within and outside of the organization.
Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours as needed or assigned to ensure that production deadlines are met.
Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the job.
High school diploma.
Five (5) years of experience in the maintenance field.
Formal technical training in electrical or mechanical maintenance may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Nice To Haves

Experience in an industrial sewing environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and service all equipment needs of the assigned production division.
Assist with production operations, including fixture and training aid fabrication.
Assist with training and supervision on the production floor as required.
Help maintain a system for routine, repetitive, and preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations, and production equipment requirements.
Set up new equipment and perform an operational walk-through with new equipment.
Maintain and service production equipment, both preventative and emergent, including all production sewing machine requirements.
Fabricate production and/or adaptive fixtures used in manufacture.
Perform all day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance work, which may include limited carpentry and electrical work.
Assist in the investigation and purchase of production machinery and equipment within the facility.
Work with the TRC Maintenance Department to ensure all jobs within the production area are completed as designed and to specification.
Participate in the plant Safety Committee.
Maintain preventative and daily maintenance records for machinery within the area of responsibility.
Maintain appropriate levels of replacement parts for machines.
Supervise production workers as required in the absence of a supervisor, including direction of production requirements, scheduling of work, participating in disciplinary actions, and approval of time off requests.
Perform all other related duties as needed or assigned.
