About The Position

This position reports to the Production Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Production Maintenance Department. The role involves delegating work and preventative maintenance (PMs) as required to maintain daily operations of production, managing project scheduling and completion dates, and performing yearly associate evaluations and appraisals for individual employee growth paths. The supervisor will assist with the workload of day-to-day production needs and projects, ensuring the quantity and quality of work performed by maintenance associates. This role requires interaction with department heads and leads for safety and efficiency improvements, and understanding company policies, procedures, and long-term goals to work with the department manager on new projects, layouts, and machine modifications. The Production Maintenance Supervisor must be an energetic person able to perform at a fast pace and adapt to changing job requirements. Responsibilities include delegating work and following up to maintain scheduling and quality, performing minor PLC programming changes and uploading programs into machinery, understanding and effectively using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in conjunction with company guidelines, and working around running equipment in a noisy environment. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required in all facility areas and are provided by the company. Any other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with and in a chemical environment using proper personal protective equipment as required
  • Able to climb stairs and routinely perform maintenance duties while working on/off ladders, lifts, elevated locations, or in tight spaces
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Communicate effectively using verbal and written skills

Responsibilities

  • Delegating work and follow up to maintain scheduling and quality
  • Performing minor PLC programing changes and uploading of program into machinery as needed
  • Understanding and use of Personal Protective Equipment effectively and in conjunction with the company guide lines
  • Work around running equipment with higher-than-normal noise levels
  • Any other duties, as assigned
