This role supervises the maintenance and repair of all operations and production equipment, including packaging machinery, capsule manufacturing, processing equipment, warehouse and order fulfillment equipment, process HVAC systems, and other ancillary systems. The supervisor is responsible for developing and evaluating bids for maintenance subcontractors, and may be required to directly maintain and repair equipment. This position also tracks and schedules preventive maintenance activities, supervises the maintenance and repair of the physical plant operations area, and oversees janitorial and sanitation work. Collaboration with Engineering on equipment installation and rebuild projects is expected, as is assisting in the planning and implementation of new methods to improve operations and minimize costs. The role involves monitoring and updating shop and parts inventory, assisting in the procurement and liquidation of equipment, and working on new construction or remodeling projects. Additionally, the supervisor assists in overseeing maintenance, repair, and construction work in retail stores, acting as a general contractor for subcontractor coordination. Reporting on potential problems and project progress, and ensuring compliance with safety and GMP requirements are key responsibilities. The role also includes a strong emphasis on safety, supporting a culture of safe production, actively participating in the safety program, and ensuring employees adhere to safety policies and procedures. The supervisor directly manages shift employees in the maintenance department, carrying out responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.
