Requirements

Ability to use required hand and power tools (including welders (MIG & TIG) and torch cutters)
Good written and oral communication skills
Mechanical repair and equipment maintenance knowledge
Attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints and manuals
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year of related experience

Nice To Haves

Some post-high school education or training is beneficial
Five (5) years of Maintenance Mechanic experience in an industrial setting preferred

Responsibilities

Assigned mechanical job duties to maintain and repair food processing equipment.
Completes repairs during the processing season to meet production goals.
Overhaul and install plant equipment during non-production periods to be ready for the next scheduled production run.
Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace machinery as required
Read sketches and blueprints to determin the layout of assigned work
Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required
Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed
Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments
Complete PO requests to order parts and supplies for the department
Assist in training new and junior Mechanics
Responsible for general housekeeping of assigned work areas
Operate machinery and tools in a safe manner
Other duties as assigned or required by Management
